Volunteers work with us in a variety of ways.
Process donations at our ReStore, help build or repair
a local home, or act as Ambassador at fundraising events - there are many opportunities to contribute in a meaningful way.
ReStore Volunteers:
We are always looking for volunteers to help in our ReStores. We have two ReStore locations in Greater Victoria - Victoria and Westshore.
Our ReStores are open 7 days a week with different shifts to suit your schedule.
There are so many ways to volunteer at the ReStore. Volunteers help with receiving and sorting donations, assisting customers, stocking shelves, merchandising the store floor and so much more!
Event Volunteers:
Habitat for Humanity Victoria hosts a variety of community events and fundraisers throughout the year, and our Event Ambassadors play an important role in helping these moments run smoothly.
Volunteer Ambassadors support Habitat Victoria by welcoming guests, sharing information about our work, encouraging participation when appropriate, and helping create a positive, approachable atmosphere.

Build Volunteers:
Habitat Victoria is looking for handy volunteers to assist with upcoming builds and home repair projects – construction, renovations, demolitions, and more. Crew leads, tradespeople, and general labour.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Victoria ReStores. The information you provide on your form will help us to place you in one (or more) of the volunteer positions that best suits your interests, skills and our current needs.
Please note: we are not currently accepting applications for home build volunteers. Event volunteer opportunities are listed separately above.
ReStore Volunteer Requirements:
Must be 16 years of age or older
Commit to volunteer a minimum of three months
Complete the required orientation and safety training
Be able to follow instructions independently
Have a keen eye for safety and ability to follow safety regulations
