  • Dennis is a retired city planner but continues to be a champion of local families struggling to find housing appropriate to their needs. He has broad professional experience as a former city planner for municipalities in the CRD in addition to working as a development consultant for a range of clients. Dennis is also a veteran member of several non-profit boards, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience in governance, strategic planning and critical analysis.

  • Marcus holds a BA in Theatre and Film from the University of British Columbia, and completed post graduate studies at Simon Fraser University (Communications), Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management (Arts Management), and the Banff Television Executive Program.  

    He has worked in many aspects of production for theatre, film, television and radio as well as Arts Management. His volunteer work has included Board positions with many charities, as well as industry and sector organizations.  

    Marcus has also served as a mentor many times over the years, and most recently took part in the CHRC’s Talent to Lead Program. 

  • Well-rounded 35 years experience in financial industry: deposits, investments, and all facets of consumer lending both in a hands on and a senior management role. Demonstrated leadership and management skills in coaching, directing and motivating a large diverse work groups through challenging and changing environments. 
     
    Strong interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to interact at all levels of the organization as a Team player, collaborator, problem solver, and decision maker. Approachable coaching style generates a secure yet challenging and supportive partnership that assists in identifying and maximizing existing strengths to reveal new opportunities for success. 

  • Jim has extensive board and global executive leadership experience. He is adept at guiding organizations by gathering key stakeholders, facilitating high-impact discussions, and collaboratively evaluating critical choices. He has shaped long term vision for businesses and aligned stakeholders to accelerate enterprise-wide execution with measurable outcomes.

    Jim has applied his leadership skills to influence industry and have positive impact in the community through numerous boards and committees. A few highlights include serving the community as Board member for United Way of Greater Indiana, Board Director and Executive Committee Member for AgriNovus driving growth in the Indiana Bioscience economy, and as long serving Chair and Board Director of Crop Life Canada and Board Director for BioteCanada advocating for the agriculture industry.

    Jim’s business career spans nearly 4 decades in agriculture with Corteva and predecessor organizations in Canada and globally. He recently held various Vice President positions in Indianapolis and Switzerland. Previously he was President of Dow AgroSciences Canada during which time he served on Dow Canada Finance and Ethics Committees.
