The ReStore is Habitat’s retail program that sells new and used quality merchandise to generate revenue to support Habitat’s charitable work.

Position Summary:
Tuesday to Saturday - 8:30 - 4:30.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Truck Driver is responsible for operating the 3 ton cube truck safely and according to company procedure. Daily you will be collecting donations from residential and corporate donors. Drivers and Driver Assistants require the physical strength and aptitude for moving furniture, appliances, and large items with a partner. Act as an ambassador of Habitat Victoria while in the community and engaging with donors. (Note: Trucks have an power liftgate and teams have access to tools such as hand trucks, dollies, loading straps).Personal Attributes:
Strong belief in the mission and values of Habitat for Humanity.
Physically capable of carrying out the job duties. This position requires Truck Drivers to lift safely using a variety of tools including hand trucks, lifts etc. There is a 2 person team per truck.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma
1 years’ experience in driving appropriate vehicle (3 ton box van)
Able to lift and move with up to 22kg on a regular basis
Able to stand on feet for long periods
Must have valid, clean class 5 driver’s license with suitable “N” driver’s abstract

Every day is different, whether you’re planning an event, creating content, or helping us grow our presence online and in person.
Position Summary:
30 hours per week – Monday to Friday (flexible scheduling available)
Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Marketing and Promotions Intern will assist in creating and executing marketing strategies, promoting events, managing social media content, and engaging with the community to raise awareness of Habitat Victoria’s programs and initiatives.
The Government of Canada funded this job through the Canada Summer Jobs program.

Key Responsibilities:
Social Media & Content Creation
Assist in developing and scheduling content for Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn using Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, and Canva
Capture and edit photos and videos for promotional materials and social media
Help create short videos for ReStore promotions, volunteer/staff training, and donor appreciation
Community Engagement & Events
Support the planning and promotion of events like ReStore campaigns, volunteer appreciation events, and community days
Attend local events to assist with setup, take photos, share content on social, and engage with attendees
Marketing & Communications Support
Help draft blog posts, newsletters, and email campaigns
Support the creation and distribution of flyers, posters, and signage for ReStore and outreach events
Contribute to maintaining in-store promotional displays and signage
Administrative & Organizational Tasks
Organize digital and physical files, including archiving, naming images, and managing shared folders
Help maintain press and contact lists for outreach and media communications
Assist in tracking performance data, social media metrics, and campaign reports
Team Collaboration
Work closely with the marketing, communications, and volunteer engagement teams to ensure consistency in messaging
Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to share ideas and support strategy development

Comfortable using the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro is an asset)
Able to attend occasional evening/weekend events when needed
Strong writing, photography, and visual storytelling skills
