On Site
Building homes is our passion. Every home built represents a new life for Greater
Victoria families. This section shows where we have worked in the
past and what we are developing now. Each target on the map is meaningful
not only to the families which have been helped but to all the volunteers
and supporters that make this organization work. If you see a site
that is currently being developed that you would like to work on
please don't hesitate to join our effort!

Comments: The Board of Directors approved the recommendation of the Family Selection Committee to partner with the Ramos family in June of 2000. All of us who have had the pleasure of getting to know the Ramos, and working side by side with them, have had our commitment increased to helping families like theirs move into home ownership. The Ramos', at the signing of the Partnership letter, thanked the volunteers of Habitat for working with them to make their dream come true.

Comments: Our 1200 sq. ft. North Park home was completed in April 2000. The Canham family of five formerly lived in a cramped two-bedroom 600 sq. ft. basement suite. While the house was under construction, Dad Brad Canham was completing his plumber apprenticeship training. Brad, now a journeyman, has returned with his new skills to our Sidney site taking a key role in the installation of plumbing in the three houses constructed since the fall of 2002.
